Fiskars

In 1996 Fiskars of Finland converted their decaying 350 year-old company town to an artist’s colony. Fiskars Village flourished and soon became the 2nd largest tourist attraction in Finland. The Great Society recognized “the Willage” as the Finns say, as a real-life embodiment of Fiskars’ brand promise, “to enable creativity and self-expression,” and traveled to Finland to tell this remarkable brand story. The result was a series of documentary webisodes and a microsite, www.fiskarscinemaseries.com, designed to showcase the films and give the global corporation a human face.
